Part 1: Business Technology Tools

In this section, we’ll have an overview of business technology: what it is, computing essentials, practical utilities use, and managing information skills. This will help place us in the current state of technology in business – in academic settings and in the workforce.

We won’t be able to cover every single thing; there is just too much information. The scope is a focus on general preparation for the workplace, and the various aspects of computing and digital technology that impact us in school/training and in jobs.

Some of the information will be an overview of concepts so we can understand computing tools and their place in our training and work lives. Some will be an exposure to issues we face in the business technology-related situations. Some will be practical skills-building activities. Most are starting points.
