Persuasive Opinion Paragraphs

This section includes persuasive opinion paragraphs written by winter 2025 students in response to one of these two prompts:

Option #1: The United States should continue to accept immigrants and refugees.
I want to give YOU the opportunity to share why YOU believe it’s important for the US to accept immigrants and refugees and share examples from YOUR OWN LIVES.

Option #2: It is worthwhile to go back to school as an adult.
Tell us why YOU are taking them time to study English (and possibly other topics) as a busy adult. Why do YOU think it’s a good idea to make this a priority in your life even when you have so many other things to do?
