Accept Immigrants and Refugees

I think that the United States should continue to accept immigrants and refugees. The main reason is that we are all the same without distinction, and we have feelings and freedom. For example, when I was young, I used to come to the U.S. to visit my mom every year. She was working for a rich family as a nanny. During my trips, I would try to convince her to return to my home country, but she didn’t want to return because she wanted to keep working for a better future. At the same time, I met someone who is now my husband. I never thought about living here, but that happened. After years, my mom moved with my family and me. She left her work and everything behind. She adapted to the new life changes after more than twenty years living alone. Then, I tried to fix her papers, but she decided to return to my home country because of the Covid pandemic. She lost a lot of family members, and she thought that it was time to return because she wanted to see her family again. Now, I have a beautiful and happy family of my own, but I’m also far away from my family in my home country. Another reason is that many people are looking for a better place to live. For example, they leave their home country, family and friends for a better future like my mom did. The final reason is that many refugees leave their home country because they don’t have an option. They must escape from the war for a better place to live. For these reasons, I support all immigrants and refugees that came to this country. Giving an opportunity is giving a new hope of life.
