MY JOURNEY

Coming to the U.S. opened a new page in my life. It included a new country, city, culture and married life. After a difficult farewell in Turkiye, I started an exciting and long journey. After waiting eleven months to move to the U.S., I took a twelve hour journey to achieve my dreams. Every beauty comes with difficulty. It was the same for me. I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but I didn’t expect it to be this hard either. Making new friends has never been difficult for me, but here it was one of the most difficult things for me. It isn’t easy to use a different language correctly. In the first months after arriving, the only person I knew in the U.S. was my husband. For a social person, not knowing anyone is like a nightmare. I spent every day missing my life in Turkiye. As time passed and I created my own social circle here, I started to get used to it. Giving myself time and accepting that every emotion I was experiencing was normal. In conclusion, I can even say that I’m starting to love my life. After every rain comes a rainbow. I now enjoy watching my rainbow.
