My Arrival Story

I arrived in the United States with my family two years ago. We wanted to live in another country so our daughter could have a better quality of life. We looked for options through a company that applied and received our paperwork, so we were able to come here. We have been very happy. It is not easy to arrive in another country and start over, but for us it has been a dream come true, no matter the sacrifices we had to make. When I arrived, the first thing I looked for was an apartment to live in because I didn’t want to live more than a month at my in-laws house. I signed up to study English in May two years ago, but I started studying in the fall and started my job six months later. I work as a nanny. I have fun taking care of babies. It’s a great art. This job has taught me how important family is. It is difficult to work in this profession in my country because it’s very poorly paid and not valued. In summary, being here in this country has been a challenge because everything is a process, but my dreams are fulfilled and I get to do this with my family.
