The English Guided Self Placement (EGSP) process allows you to review and assess your skills and knowledge in the English language, and then place yourself into the appropriate course based on your answers and level of comfort. The process is straightforward, user-friendly, and designed to provide you with the support and guidance you need to make an informed decision.

We believe that this approach will encourage you to take ownership of your learning and ensure that you are placed in a course that is both challenging and rewarding. So, take your time, be honest with yourself, and let us help you get the most out of your general education experience at Bates.  We look forward to supporting you on your journey!
