Chapter 7: Imaging and Diagnostics
Brandon Censon MPH, CPH, RRT-NPS, CPFT, CPT
Summary
In this chapter, we have explored a number of imaging science careers who have a critical role in the delivery of care. Imaging science professionals help produce images of the body through a variety of techniques. These images then help inform the healthcare team of what is taking place inside of the patient’s body.
The education requirements for these careers vary from earning an Associates or Bachelors level degree, as well as through earning additional specialty credentials.
As you wrap up this chapter, you should have a greater idea of the various imaging science careers that are available.
