The Orphan Dream Realized

One of my best memories is when I got my visa to the U.S.  That I will never forget. Last year on May 5, 2022, the company where I worked in my country sent a letter that my contract would not be renewed.  On May 8, 2022, I checked on the U.S. Diversity website, and I found out that I won visa lottery. I was so happy and excited to know that I will travel soon.

Before this time, I used to help church choirs like going to play bass guitar for them to celebrate Sunday mass. They knew me like one of the best bass guitar players of our city.  Also I prayed a lot. I started to check out a YouTube about how to fill Ds 260 and the rest of the process. The day I planned to send my DS 260, I looked for someone who had more experience about it and asked him for his help. The day I received the letter for an interview at the US Embassy in my country, I was afraid because I didn’t know what would happen on this day. The day of my interview was relaxed. I got my visa two weeks later and made the trip to the US. This moment is one of my happiest memories.  I have a lot of goals and hopes for my future in the US.
