A Happy Mom
Feven Gebreyohans
November 23, 2017, was my special day. The day that my older daughter came to this world. When I saw her and held her in my arm, I felt blessed. I thank God that he gave me a little angel daughter on Thanksgiving Day. It was a little difficult at the first to wake up at night, but it was also a memorable time. When she was three months, she started smiling, and it was an exciting new thing for me. Every time, when she did new things like smiling, eating, started walking, I felt that I’m over the moon. Then after a while, I gave birth to my second daughter. I felt the same feeling as my first daughter. Now, they look like a twin. I see them they both support and defend each other. That time, I really know how lucky I’m. They both are smart enough. My youngest knows more vocabulary, and my oldest is much more focusing on math. Every day, they make me happy and smiley. Sometimes, when I come from work, they surprise me by putting a blanket on the floor and getting fruit or chips for movie night. Last time, I asked my youngest to give me my bag, and she said mummy this is not a bag; this is a purse. I smiled, but I also learned that how smart she is. She always comes with new word, and my oldest got a high score from her school. I’m happy because my kids are my teachers and my students. We both learn from each other.
