I Took a Memorable Trip to USA

It was four years back in August 2020 when I first came to the USA with my husband and my son. The trip was a 14 hours direct flight from our country to the USA and we were welcomed at the DC Airport by my cousin. She took us to her home to invite us to a delicious Ethiopian food and coffee.  Mostly I was happy to see her after 15 years, we took pictures for memory and returned to the Airport for our next flight to Seattle to our destination State.

Unfortunately, at the DC Airport, I lost my cell phone. It was like a Laptop for me, it consisted of a lot of family and farewell parties, pictures, all my contacts and important files. On the same date my happiness changed to sadness. I tried to find it around the areas where I was sitting, but I couldn’t find it. It was hard to run here and there with a foreigner in a big airport.

At last, I reported to the lost and found office and left the airport with tears in my eyes so as not to miss my next flight. Fortunately, on the next day, my cousin went to the Airport and found it in the lost and found office.  I talked with the responsible person and he told me to delegate her to receive it. I wrote a delegation email for the office and they gave it to her.  She mailed me to Seattle and I was very happy. I will never forget the happiest and unhappiest trip of my life.
