Exercice 2.13 - 2.16

Les chiffres et les nombres 0 à 100

One through nine are absolutely critical—master them!

-10

…………………………………………………………………………………..……….……zéro

………………………………………………………………………………………………….un

…………………………………………………………………………………………………deux

…………………………………………………………………………………………………trois

………………………………………………………………………………………………….quatre

…………………………………………………………………………………………………cinq

…………………………………………………………………………………………………six

…………………………………………………………………………………………….….sept

…………………………………………………………………………………………………huit

…………………………………………………………………………………………………neuf

……………………………………………………………………………………………….dix

-16

Eleven through sixteen are tricky—spend extra time on them.

………………………………………………………………………………………………onze

……………………………………………………………………………………………..douze

……………………………………………………………………………………………..treize

………………………………………………………………………………………………quatorze

……………………………………………………………………………………………..quinze

………………………………………………………………………………………………seize

-19

With seventeen, we start to see the pattern of adding “ten-seven,” “ten-eight,” etc.

………………………………………………………………………………………………dix-sept

……………………………………………………………………………………………..dix-huit

……………………………………………………………………………………………..dix-neuf

-29

………………………………………..vingt

………………………………………..vingt-et-un*

………………………………………..vingt-deux

………………………………………..vingt-trois

………………………………………..vingt-quatre

………………………………………..vingt-cinq

………………………………………..vingt-six

………………………………………..vingt-sept

………………………………………..vingt-huit

………………………………………..vingt-neuf

*When a feminine noun immediate follows un, add an “e.” Vingt-et-une personnes.

The – after vingt changes to –et- (said “eh” as in egg) when connecting the number 1. It means “and.”

-39

………………………………………..trente

………………………………………..trente-et-un

………………………………………..trente-deux

………………………………………..trente-trois

………………………………………..trente-quatre

………………………………………..trente-cinq

………………………………………..trente-six

………………………………………..trente-sept

………………………………………..trente-huit

………………………………………..trente-neuf

Between “trente” and “soixante,” things are fairly simple and the pattern continues as we saw with the 20s and 30s. After that, we must do some calculations.

-60

………………………………………..quarante

………………………………………..cinquante

………………………………………..soixante

From 70-79, we add 60 + 10,11,12, etc. We will focus more on large numbers later on.

………………………………………..soixante-dix

………………………………………..soixante-et-onze

………………………………………..soixante-douze

………………………………………..soixante-treize

From 80-99, we say: “four twenties” + 10,11,12, etc. We will focus more on large numbers later on.

………………………………………..quatre-vingts*

………………………………………..quatre-vingt-un

…………………………………………quatre-vingt-dix

…………………………………………quatre-vingt-onze

*Quatre-vingts only has an “s” at the end when it’s 80 on the dot.

………………………………………..cent
