Les dates
When saying dates in French, we follow a specific formula:
Le (numéro) (mois)
To ask the date, ask: Quelle est la date ?
To state a date, use the formula: C’est le dix-huit janvier. or On est le dix-huit janvier.
For the first of the month, use le premier instead of l’un: C’est le premier juillet. On est le premier mai.
