7.0 Chapter Introduction & Pre-Chapter Activity: Chapter 7
Before beginning this chapter, it is important to recognize which skills and tasks you will be expected to learn to perform. Do you already have some previous skills or knowledge in these areas that you can use to your advantage? Are there any topics that you foresee being difficult?
If so, it is a good idea to pursue additional assistance to get ahead of any potential issues. You are the master of your education—you have the power to take ownership of your learning!
After completing this chapter, I will be able to:
- Recall vocabulary related to childhood and adolescence.
- Discuss things I used to do and places I used to go.
- Describe myself when I was younger.
- Make general impersonal statements in the past.
- Distinguish the difference between identifying someone and describing someone.
- Talk about where I and others went.
- Manipulate sentences to incorporate indirect object pronouns and the adverbial pronoun y.
- Distinguish between scenarios in which the passé composé should be used, versus scenarios in which l’imparfait should be used.
- Use the relative pronoun dont to refer to key words in clauses when the verb requires de.
