The verb être is used to discuss states of being (conditions, emotions, feelings, etc.) and location.
- Je suis fatigué.e parce que je travaille beaucoup.

- Nous sommes nerveux/nerveuses à cause de l’examen.

Adjectives commonly used with être
They must agree with the person.s they are describing in gender and number.
Prepositions commonly used with être
Use “de” when giving a reference point.

Tu es aux États-Unis pour les vacances.
