Expression: Aller + infinitive
The expression aller + infinitive is used to speak about the near future in French. The English equivalent is “To be going to (do something) ___________.”
- First, conjugate aller according to who is going to do the action.
- Add the infinitive for the future action.
Modèles :
Ce week-end, je vais sortir avec mes amis.
Demain, Édouard va voyager à Nice.
Jeudi prochain, je vais aller au concert de Madonna avec ma famille.
Anne va acheter une nouvelle voiture ce samedi.
Expressions for talking about the future:

*we use the feminine form to emphasize the “duration” or what happens during that time:

Je vais voyager au Pérou la semaine prochaine. Je vais visiter Machu Picchu. Je vais visiter les géoglyphes de Nazca aussi. Ce voyage va être merveilleux.
