Last year on my husband’s birthday, my family visited the Rainier National Park. It was our first visit to this park. If we had known that this place was so beautiful, we would have gone there earlier.

It was the end of September, the weather was warm, and the trees began to turn into fall colors. We went along the most popular hiking trail – the Skyline trail. Nature around us was red, yellow, orange, and green. It was like a bright carpet. And big blue mountains stood above us. And like the cherry on the cake – a big icy peak of Mount Rainier. Views were incredible along this trail! I have never seen such amazing views before.

It was a long way, and even though we were very tired, we were so happy to be there! We decided as long as we live in Washington State, our tradition will be to visit Rainier National Park every year for my husband’s birthday. Unfortunately, this year we omitted this trip because we got sick. I believe next year we will enjoy this place again and our tradition can continue!
