I Love the Place I Live in
I always wanted to live in city of Redmond. The city of Redmond nearly finished construction of roads and buildings, and it truly transformed it to a high standard of living. I found a lovely house nearby that I share with my children. It was important to me that I have a school district close by, so I could take my children without spending too much time on the road. My neighborhood consists of fifty houses that are close in proximity from each other. I enjoy living in this neighborhood because I have friendly neighbors and it’s very quiet there. However, there is some things that I do not like about this neighborhood and that is construction of the light rail.
I would like to say what is positive about my neighborhood. There is a park located on the property of my subdivision. I take my children there and we walk or sit on a bench. When they were little, they rode a swing and ran around the playground. Now they are older, and we often take a lunch basket and enjoy food when the weather is nice. Several years ago, I met an American couple who live across my house, and they became my good friends. One day, they invited me for tea. We had spoke and laughed and had a great time together. I tremendously enjoyed these people because they made me feel welcomed.
As I mentioned earlier, I do not like construction of the light rail that has been going on for a year now. Its’ noise from drilling machines disrupts my day. The construction takes from early morning to early evening to finish, so I pretty much hear it all day long. It used to be relatively quiet neighborhood, and it is not now. I also do not like to drive far to do grocery and clothes shopping at Costco. It takes twenty minutes to get to a store and then sit in traffic. Near downtown, I go to the library, and it also takes time to get there. I wish the library were closer, so I would have more time to prepare my homework.
Overall, I do enjoy living in the city of Redmond. There are a lot of good people living in my subdivision, and I am fortunate to have good relationship with them. Even though the light rail construction noise and far away shopping impact my mood, I can consider this neighborhood is a great place to live.
