My Neighborhood

Tiger Lee and Emma Hamlet

I live on an island between two big cities. Since I bought this house six years ago, I have never planned to change to another one. Perhaps I am used to adapting to the type of my life. Generally, there are some things I like and dislike about my neighborhood.

Well, let us talk about several advantages of living here. At first, it is quiet. Even though there are a few traffic passing through the road, you have no feeling about it. It is also safe. The city is so small that keeping it safe is relatively easy. Of course, the middle school of the area has a good reputation for its high-quality education, so my son likes to go to school here. Finally, my house is located near a grant lake; thus, we all enjoy beautiful scenes every day.

There are some disadvantages of my neighborhood. To begin with, my house is far away from the town. If I need to buy something daily, I must drive out to get it. Also, there is lack of entertainments around here. When I want to meet with my friends, I usually have an appointment in another city.

Just as I said, there are much more benefits than drawbacks about my neighborhood. But when I go back home every time, the familiar surroundings always make me feel relaxed and pleasant. Perhaps, I have no courage to leave this place.
