My Neighborhood

Yanrong Liu and Karter Trotter

Living in a convenient place has always been my dream. Six years ago, it came true. I moved into a nice neighborhood. However, it has some negative and positive sides. For me, my neighborhood gives me more advantages than disadvantages.

There are many things I like about my neighborhood because it brings me a lot of convenience. For example, I can walk to a grocery store to buy some goods without a car. I can take a bus to a library, downtown Bellevue and downtown Seattle. My neighborhood is also near a beach park. I walk there and see a beautiful view every day. I really like listening to the sounds of the waves and the cries of the seagulls. My neighbors are friendly and help each other.

There are also some things I don’t like about my neighborhood. For instance, it has so much noise that I am awaken up by it every day.  There is also so much traffic on the road. When I drive at the peak time, I need to wait for a long time in traffic.

All in all, life in my neighborhood has its own strong points and weak points. Although it is not quiet in my neighborhood, it brings me more convenience. I’m glad that I lived in a great place!
