My Neighborhood

Roxana and Anna Sara

When I arrived in the USA with my family, it was a very important change for everyone. In my country Chile, we had a beautiful house with a pool, grill, and a large garden. The climate was different. We had a long summer and we moved in the summer of Chile. Here it was cold weather with snow on the streets. We found a place in Redmond. The house is big and the landscape is beautiful, but there are many things that I like and others that I don’t like about my new neighborhood.

There are many things that I like. For example, it is very close to Lake Washington. In just 10 minutes, I get there. I have many supermarkets; Costco is one of them. My children have their school nearby. All those things are very important to us.

There are some things I don’t like about my neighborhood. For instance, where I live, my neighbors are not very friendly. Also, in winter when the snow comes, I can’t use my car because my road is going up and my car slips.

Although there are things that I don’t like, I can say that this one has many things that I like. I am happy living in my neighborhood.
