My Best Friend

Alena

Our life is the people who surround us. I want to tell you about my best friend Natalya, who was not only always there for me when I needed it, but she is also an example to me of a person who achieves her goal and never gives up.

The first example that Natalya showed me was achieving her goal. We have been friends since childhood. Since her youth, Natalya has been involved in professional sports acrobatics. Her main goal in her sports life was to participate in the Olympics in Seoul. She devoted all her free time to sports training. In 1988, she achieved her goal and took part in the Olympic Games in Seoul. At this time, she was only 16 years old. It was a very exciting event. She achieved her goal and planned to continue her journey in acrobatics. As a result, I concluded for myself that if we set a goal and do everything possible to achieve it, it will happen.

However, Natalya is not only a goal-oriented person, but also a person who does not give up if unpleasant events occur in life. A year after the Olympics, she received serious injuries to both legs during training. It was a disaster. She was in the hospital for more than 6 months. Doctors advised her to forget about acrobatics. Natalya never gives up. She went through a difficult path of rehabilitation and recovery. She graduated from a university and was able to pursue a career as an acrobatics coach. Now Natalya lives in Portugal. She coaches the country’s youth team and helps injured athletes.

In conclusion, I know that Natalya is for me an example of a person who sets a goal, achieves it and never gives up. Her example influenced my attitude towards life. I often tell her story to people who are desperate or don’t believe in themselves. Under any circumstances, you must go towards your goal and never give up. I admire my friend and when things happen in my life, I am always glad to communicate with her.
