My Neighborhood

In my life, I’ve changed my place of residence several times due to education, work, and marriage. In 2022, my husband and I had to move from Ukraine to the U.S. because of the war in Ukraine. Here, in the city of Bothell, our daughter lives with her husband in their own house. Now this is our neighborhood. Despite some drawbacks, I like my neighborhood.
There are many things I appreciate about my neighborhood. For instance, the nature here is very beautiful. Our home is situated in a peaceful and quiet location. Our neighbors are welcoming and friendly people. Every resident takes care of their property’s landscaping. It’s especially beautiful and tranquil here in the fall and spring.
There are also some things I don’t like about my neighborhood. For example, there are no shopping centers nearby. We don’t have a car, so we have to rely on the bus. The bus schedule is inconvenient, running only once an hour. Getting to work and school can be difficult, and it consumes a lot of my time.
As you can see, life in my neighborhood has its pros and cons. It’s a remote area, but the advantages outweigh this disadvantage. I’m grateful to live in this picturesque and peaceful neighborhood.
