My Neighborhood

Hoa Truong

My family came to America for three years. We came to America for my children’s education and their future. Actually, I thought I should have my own house, so we got it in the fall of last year. The neighborhood was peaceful for us. Of course, when we lived there for a while, I realized that the neighborhood has some advantages and some disadvantages.

The advantage of the neighborhood is that it is friendly. For example, one time when I came back home from shopping, I had a lot of things to carry. A neighborhood man came to help me to carry some things. After he was done helping me, he didn’t forget to say, “If you need any help, tell me.’ I looked at him and smiled just to say, ‘Thank you so much. You were so kind.”

Beside that I don’t like the way my neighbors park. Some of their house had more than four vehicles, so sometimes they park their vehicles close to the sidewalk. Therefore, the lane on the road becomes narrow a little and that makes it so difficult for the vehicles to cross over that road. That is the disadvantages of the neighborhood.

In reality my neighborhood has some advantages and some disadvantages. My neighbor was so friendly, so my neighborhood gives me peace and safety. I love my house with my neighborhood.
