Higher Intermediate ELL – My Neighborhood

It brings me great joy to be a part of the 4th edition of Stories from Our Lives. This edition features the wonderful life experiences of students from many countries around the world including Belarus, China, Japan, Peru, Puerto Rico, Russia, South Korea, Ukraine, and Vietnam. Students who participated in this project wrote their essays as a part of their High Intermediate English class during the fall of 2023. Each story represents a unique worldview and stands as a testament to the hard work these students have done to advance their English proficiency. We hope members of the LWTech community and beyond enjoy these stories. Our dream is to inspire other English language learners to share stories about their lives and discover the joy of reading in a new language. Finally, I want to express my sincere thanks to the art faculty and students who created wonderful artwork for this edition. They help to deepen our understanding of each narrative.
