High Intermediate ELL with Karyna Tytar

It’s an honor to contribute to the new edition of Stories from Our Lives. In this edition, students from numerous countries, including China, Honduras, Mexico, Russia, Taiwan, and Ukraine, share their fascinating life stories. The students involved in this project completed their essays as part of their classwork in the High Intermediate English class during the fall of 2024. Each story reflects students’ distinct perspectives on the world and demonstrates their dedicated efforts to improve their English skills. We hope these stories bring joy to members of the LWTech community and anyone else who reads them. We also hope these stories encourage our fellow English learners to express themselves through storytelling and develop a love for reading in another language. Finally, my heartfelt thank you goes to the art faculty and students for their outstanding contributions to this edition’s artwork. Each illustration enriches our insight into each story.
