A Super Women Miyoshi

Have you ever been to “Tokyo”? Tokyo is the capital city of Japan. If I describe “Tokyo” in simple words, I would say “stylish, fancy, convenient, beautiful” and “busy”. I’m originally from very country side of Japan and I always wanted to live in the city. So I loved living in Tokyo at that time, before I had a child. However, my life has completely changed since the birth of my child. I thought I was going to spend my days having so much fun with my sweet baby. But in fact, I was straggling through my days with him. In my busy days, I met my dearest friend “Miyoshi”. Thanks to Miyoshi, now these days are my treasure.

I met Miyoshi in a baby circle planned by our ward. We gathered as moms who have the same age babies. I was striving to take care of first child and trying to make every day more enjoyable. When I was in Tokyo, my husband was working so hard and usually he came back home after 11 pm. I didn’t have any parents or siblings there. Miyoshi and I had a same situation. However, she enjoyed those busy days. She realized that our crazy busy days wouldn’t last forever. One day, when I was tired, she brought me to have a coffee in a fashionable coffee shop. I really loved going out to refresh myself but I avoided going out with baby until then. But she was active as usual and even if our babies cried or spilled a water, she didn’t care too much and she was impressed with the baby’s grip strength. She really enjoyed spending time with her baby and always showed me a positive attitude.

I’m a very punctual person, so I couldn’t feel comfortable when I was running late. But she said “I like walking with babies because I can walk slowly and I can find small brilliant rocks and bugs. This is new to my days.” I was encouraged by Miyoshi in those days. She is patient, generous, energetic. Even more amazingly, she is the manager of famous company in Japan! If I hadn’t met her, I would have spent my short and precious days with my baby just trying to keep busy.

If I didn’t have a child, I wouldn’t have a chance to meet her. When my child turned 2-and-a -half-year sold, we moved to the U.S. But we can see her every time we go to Japan. She will always be my comrade and mentor. The baby then is 10 years old now. I think I met Miyoshi 10 years ago and it was a big positive change to my life
