A Person I Admire

All our life, we try to become better. We are studying, reading many books and improving our body. However, when we become grandparents, the main goal is to make our grandchild better. I think a person gets the most memorable experiences in childhood and that has an impact on their future life. Therefore, my husband and I doing everything in our power to help our grandchildren to get comprehensive development. I think every person should be not only technically literate but also a cultured and healthy person. That’s why we encourage our grandson David to read a lot, take piano lessons and play sports, and he does all of these things with great pleasure.

David’s main character trait is his strive for knowledge. David is a very smart boy, he is interested in math, he likes to play chess, reading books and writing. Every morning when David wakes up, he reads a book before breakfast. For example, he has read five books in the “Harry Potter” series. Besides, for one year, he has been writing his book about the adventures of his hero –Turtle. I think, he is becoming a good writer.

The other side of his area of interest is sports. David is very active boy, and he likes all kind of sports. Last year, was successful in gymnastics. This year, he focused on swimming, and he became a member of the Bellevue Club team. Being a good swimmer is hard work because it’s necessary to spend a lot of time in the swim pool, and he takes his swim classes four times per week. I believe that sports will help him become a healthy and strong person in the future.

I’m proud of my grandson David because he is smart, hardworking and persistent. He always wants to be better. I believe in his knowledge and sports help him in his future life. Therefore, he will be a successful, healthy and happy man. Last week was his birthday, he was only nine years old, but he already knows and can do a lot. I want to wish him good luck.
