The Person I Admire

I am in a wonderful family. There are five of us and my grandparents in my family. I am one of three siblings. My grandparents are the people who had had the greatest impact on me. My grandparents inspired me to become a respectful person and work hard on everything I do.

My grandfather is the person who taught me how to become a respectful person. In 2018, when I was 11 years old, I said a bad word to my parents, and my grandfather just heard it. So, he slapped my face and said, “I love you. I am sorry, but you said a bad word to your parents, and I slapped you because I must let you know how you were disrespectful to your parents and how they are disappointed in you. Go to say sorry to your parents and don’t let me do that again.” After this incident, I strongly remember not to be disrespectful to my parent. There also were some different things he told me. Such as, if your parent or grandparent takes something heavy, you should go to help. When you are talking to someone, you should see their eyes and give them respect. Now, I always remember what he said to me. These words are really important advice for me. They will definitely ensure that I will become a better person.

Next, my grandmother showed me the value of hard work. By the way, my grandmother helps me and teaches me a lot. She’s one of the people I admire most. When I was 10 years old, I had a lot of homework, and my grandmother helped me to do it. She always tells me not to be too lazy and that I should have a good attitude to face problems and be hard-working. She tells me, “Time is money; time won’t wait for you, so don’t waste your time.” She also says she is old now, and she can’t teach me anymore. When she says this, I feel I make her disappointed. She spent a lot of time telling me not to be lazy, but I still prefer to lie on my bed. Even now, I still haven’t changed. I’m sorry to my grandmother.

Overall, my grandparents are two of the people I admire most. They both teach me and believe I can become a better person. My grandparents have had a great impact on my destiny because they inspired me to become a respectful person and to be hard-working in everything. I admire them and love them.
