2 Safety

Safety is always a primary concern when fabricating anything.

During the fabrication of weldments:

  • Wear all the PPE required for the operation.
  • Stay attentive and alert.
  • Keep a clean work area to avoid trips and hazards.

Potential safety issues include:

  • Welding outside an enclosed welding booth
  • Several welders working on the same structure.
  • Ventilation and other work area hazards
  • Weight and stability concerns
