Campus Security Office

Security’s mission is to provide a safe learning environment to all who come to our campus and to protect College property. We will act with timeliness, respect and courtesy towards everyone with whom we come in contact. We will treat every caller with dignity and give every call due importance.

Monday – Saturday:
6:30am – 11:00pm

Monday – Friday:
7:00am – 4:30pm 

Security Services

Car Battery Jump-start

Free jump-start service is available by calling Security. Give your lot number and raise your hood for easy identification.

Car Lock Out

If you lock your keys in your car, security can help you get back into it without having to call roadside service. Give your lot number and stand by your car or follow instructions as to how to contact a security person.

Safety Escort Service: For personal safety, you can request a security escort to your car by calling (509) 533-3555. 

Crisis Assistance

Dial, “9-911” if you need an ambulance, fire truck, or the immediate assistance of the police department.

Additional Information: More security literature can be obtained from the Campus Security Office in Building 16 Room 145.

Bus Passes and Schedules

The Spokane Transit Authority (STA) operates a cross-town bus service (#20 SFCC-North City Loop) designed specifically to connect SFCC students and faculty to downtown and North Spokane.

Route and schedule information are available at the Student Funded Programs Office in the Student Union Building (SUB), Building #17 or call 328-RIDE.

Faculty are eligible to buy monthly bus passes. Please visit with a clerk in the Cashiers Office, Building 17, for pricing and information.

Stomping Grounds (Campus Store)

The Stomping Grounds (the campus bookstore) is located in Building 17. The hours for Stomping Grounds are available by calling (509) 533-3565 or (509) 533-3566 or visiting The Stomping Grounds Website.

The Fresh Plate (Campus Cafeteria)

SFCC offers a wide variety of meal options in the cafeteria. The Fresh Plate includes rotating specials, an espresso bar, gluten-free options, and and on-the-go meal options.

Dining facilities are located in the cafeteria in the Student Union Building- BLDG-17.

For details on how to order catering services, please contact your department assistant or dean for authorizations and details. 

Skitch’s Pantry

Ran by SFCC’s Associated Student Government, Skitch’s Pantry is located in Building 17, in the dining hall near the exit of the Espresso Bar.

Hours: 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday

You may use the food bank up to three times per academic quarter!

Food Bank Requirements

  • You must be currently enrolled at SFCC.
  • You need your current SFCC ID and one additional piece of identification verifying your address, such as a driver’s license or state ID, SFCC student schedule, or a utility bill.
  • Complete or update your SFCC Food Bank Application for the current academic year.

Fitness Center and Wellness Program

Take advantage of state-of-the-art equipment and the best-trained staff to help you work off stress and rejuvenate your energies.

SFCC’s Fitness Center is located in Building 7; Room 117.

CCSAlerts –Rave Alert System
(E-mail and text messaging)

This e-mail and text message system is available to CCS students, faculty and staff by subscription. Once you’ve signed up, you’ll receive e-mail and/or text messages regarding CCS emergency operations as they are generated. Enter as many e-mail addresses and cell phone numbers as you like.

To sign up, go to GetRave.Com and enter your SFCC network login info. Be sure to have your SID and PIN number handy!

NOTE: If you change phone service providers after enrolling in CCSAlerts, you must re-subscribe to the notification service even if you kept your original telephone number.

CCS Operations Update (CCS website)

In the event of an emergency, updates on CCS operations are posted to CCS website home page as they become available. These messages also are relayed to websites managed by SCC, SFCC and the IEL.

NOTE: This is a looping message and there may be delays getting through if a lot of people are calling all at once.
