This lab manual is designed to accompany a general-education level course on Astrobiology which is taught here at Tacoma Community College as SCI 105: Introduction to Astrobiology. That course is designed around a popular science book (i.e. not a textbook) called LIFE IN SEVEN NUMBERS: THE BIZARRE AND BEAUTIFUL PATH FROM STARDUST TO STARSHIPS by the author, Seven Rasmussen. LIFE IN SEVEN NUMBERS is slated for publication via Princeton University Press in mid-late 2025. It is not required reading, but highly recommended, as it provides context for the materials and concepts presented here.
