About the OER Basics assessment
The final activity in the OER Basics module is the OER Basics Assessment! This assessment activity will ask you to reflect and share your thoughts in participating in the OER Basics module, lessons, and activities. Your feedback and suggestions for future OER Coffee Breaks are vital to continue improving this series as well as continue increasing OER awareness and skills across Tacoma Community College.
How to claim your OER Basics digital badge
OER Basics digital badges are available to Tacoma Community College staff and faculty who have enrolled in the Canvas version of OER Coffee Breaks. To earn your OER Basics digital badge:
- Review each lesson in the OER Basics module & participate in self-check activities integrated within each page
- Submit the OER Basics Assessment via Canvas
Once you have completed those requirements, you should automatically receive confirmation of earning the OER Basics digital badge or credential. If you do not receive this auto-confirmation, you may need to go back and review previous OER Coffee Break pages in order for Canvas to log these as complete. If you encounter any issues, please contact oer@tacomacc.edu for assistance.
Self-enroll or log back into the OER Coffee Breaks Canvas course (or click the “Next” button below if you’re already in the Canvas course) in order to earn your OER Basics digital credential!
