A BETTER WAY TO TEACH

“A lot of people don’t think that Black people live in the Pacific Northwest. We do.  I would say that every single aspect of American culture has been effected by somebody who was either born, lived, or died in Seattle..We’re talking about people like Quincy Jones, Ray Charles, Jimi Hendrix. And that’s just musically.”
Dr. Paul Jackson,  Computer Engineer and VR Specialist

Welcome

This first section introduces three musicians from The Rhapsody Project (TRP) and a mixed reality “digital artivist”.  It may seem like a strange brew to include American folk musicians, who teach with banjos and guitars, in resource that also includes an extended realty developer who teaches with VR tools. But they are all artists of various types, they are all activists at a certain level, and they are all educators who have long term involvements with social justice. Maybe The Rhapsody Project would  embrace the title of artivist along with Dr. Jackson.  This resource is not as much about extended reality or music as it is about using these tools to create a better educated, more diverse, and more equitable world.
