TEACHING EXAMPLES

” [I picked Google Earth] Because it is archival… It is really quite fascinating to see how landscapes would change because things are being…rebuilt.”
Dr. Paul Jackson

Teaching Examples

In this second section Liana, Joe, and Jed, from The Rhapsody Project. perform two songs from widely different eras, but both songs are American roots music. They discuss how they approach teaching about this music in their work at TRP.  This is followed by a short video featuring the work of Dr. Paul Jackson which demonstrates the use of Google Earth and other XR technologies to teach history and culture. In the final section we look at a variety of technologies from multiple authors that are used to engage students and support teaching with counter-narratives and an anti-racist pedagogy.
