About the Author

Greg Bem is a faculty librarian at Spokane Community College (SCC) in Spokane, Washington. Prior to his time at SCC, he was a tenured faculty librarian at Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) in Kirkland, Washington. He has previously been employed in various library roles by North Seattle College, the Wildlife Conservation Society, and Open Development Cambodia. Over the decade of the working in libraries, he has centered technology, open education, and critical information literacy into his practices. When not fulfilling his librarianship, he can be found hiking, gaming, and exploring performance art.
