10 QA1 Submission Guidelines
What
Overall goal of 50% of the textbook’s contents authored. With that in mind, below you’ll find some general guidelines.
Individual chapters meet the following criteria:
- In measuring 50%, ask yourself these questions:
- Would twice the amount of what you wrote equal a textbook and cover the material needed to meet the textbook’s goals?
- Does it equal ½ the reference textbook?
- The overview & objectives sections should be fully developed.
- All terms that need defining will be identified based on the Key Terms & Glossary Guide.
- Chapter formatting has been cleaned up to reflect the Sample Chapter format for accessibility and readability.
- For images (photo, diagram, and illustration),
- Be sure that at the very least, a PLACEHOLDER exists for every needed image.
- If it is a final image, make sure that it is added to the image inventory and carries a caption and photo credit.
- If you are still looking/undecided/could not find the right image, leave placeholders with descriptions. Because these are temporary and merely informative they could be an empty box, written description, or a temporary image. Please call these out by preceding with the word Placeholder.
- Example of using written description as a placeholder
PLACEHOLDER: historical photo of someone welding
