5 Video Guide

Location

All videos will be housed in SBCTC’s Youtube Channel, WA Open ProfTech library.

Process

  • Produce a video in mp4.
  • Title the video in the format below:

Tips for production

  • Prior to video shooting, take a moment to plan for your video. Consider taking rough notes for the things you would like to cover and use it as a reminder.
  • At the beginning of the video, state the purpose of the video. For example, “This video will show you a series of safety procedures for welding.
  • Keep the video within 5 minutes unless you have a compelling reason it should be longer.
  • Shoot the video horizontally, not vertically as done on social media outlets like TikTok or Instagram.
  • Do not add any custom cover/ending pages to the video. Open ProfTech branded cover/ending pages will be added later to each video.
  • Speak loudly and clearly. Do not add any background music.
  • If you need recording equipment beyond your cell phone or what you already own, such as lighting or a microphone, contact the project manager for assistance.
