Chapter 3 – Cardiorespiratory Fitness

  1. Timed Two Mile Walk or Run Time to Complete 2 miles ________

Locate a 2 mile course where you can safely walk or run. You may use a standard track at a school and complete 8 laps around, or use a self-identified course that you verify for length using your phone’s GPS or your car’s odometer.

**Once you complete your 2 mile walk/run, check your heart rate, and then time yourself to see how long it takes your heart rate to return to your previously recorded resting heart rate. Once you have achieved resting heart rate, wait at least 5 minutes before doing the next activity.
