2 White Supremacy

White Supremacy / Required (Choose 2):

According to the Oxford Language Dictionary (2024), White Supremacy is “the belief that white people constitute a superior race and should therefore dominate society, typically to the exclusion or detriment of other racial and ethnic groups.”

“’Structural racism’ here refers to policies and practices, in a constellation of institutions, that confer advantages on people considered White and ideologies that maintain and defend these advantages, while simultaneously oppressing other racialized groups.”[1]

“Structural racism is sustained through White supremacy: the glossary of conditions, practices, and ideologies that underscore the hegemony of whiteness and White political, social, cultural, and economic domination.”[2]
