My name is Anita Hedlund and I am a nursing instructor in the Seattle area with over 30 years of clinical experience, primarily in Labor & Delivery/Postpartum nursing. I started in nursing education in 2012. I enjoy watching students develop and feel I am helping to raise up the next generation of healthcare workers who may someday care for me or my family. In my spare time I enjoy reading fiction, getting outside, and spending time with family.

Brandon Censon

My name is Brandon Censon, I am a professor of Community Health and Respiratory Therapy. My background includes post-secondary teaching, community health education, and health program planning and evaluation. Additionally, I have worked in various settings as a Respiratory Therapist – Adult critical care, pediatric critical care; and pulmonary diagnostics.

Kristen Hosey

My name is Kristen Hosey and I am a community/public health nurse by training, and professor in nursing, public health and global health. I have been teaching nurses and other health professionals in the United States and abroad since 2008. In addition to teaching I enjoy traveling, going outside (rock climbing, kayaking and rafting) and practicing martial arts.

Katie Baker

My name is Dr. Katie Baker and I am a biology instructor (and retired naturopathic physician) in the Seattle area. My professional goals include helping students to become compassionate and knowledgeable healthcare providers and teaching through the use of my own clinical experience. I prioritize anti-racist and diverse narratives that help students to see both the common humanity and individual stories of themselves and their patients. When I’m not teaching, I spend time with my family at the dog park, cooking, or volunteering.

Christine Malone

My name is Dr. Christine Malone and I am an author and educator. My background includes post-secondary teaching and writing as well as healthcare leadership roles. After losing a child due to a preventable medical error, my focus in healthcare education has been on patient safety and risk management. When I am not writing or teaching, I spend time with my husband and our dogs at our beach home on the coast of Washington State.

Karen Piette

In my spare time I enjoy traveling, hiking, kayaking and paddleboarding.
