Summary

In summary, the job search and application can take some time, but preparation is key to ensure the applicant is able to identify the best job for them. It is important to have a solid and well-prepared application in place, and to research the type of jobs the applicant is interested in pursuing . This research can be conducted online, through job shadowing and apprenticeship opportunities, or by talking to colleagues. Individuals must be prepared for the application by reviewing the organization website and application process, giving recommenders a lot of notice, and following the exact requirements on the admission page. For the interview, it is important to confirm the time, place, modality and transportation in advance. Preparation for the interview can be done by practicing with friends and colleagues, utilizing the STAR Model and reviewing the skills and strengths for the job.
