Overview

Jamie is a nursing student at a local community college. They have worked as a barista while attending school, so they are familiar with customer service. In the nursing program, professionalism is frequently discussed and is an expectation for all students. Jamie is wondering: What does professionalism mean? What does a professional person do or say? What behaviors should someone who wants to be seen as professional avoid?

This chapter will explore the many components of professionalism.
