Classified Staff Professional Development & Training

The Classified Staff Training and Development Fund provides support for professional development and training for Pierce College classified staff. Individual professional development activities improve the job skills of Pierce College employees, increase the ability of employees to support student success, contribute to the accomplishment of the college’s mission, and enhance opportunities for employees to advance their careers at Pierce. Classified Staff Training and Development funds are state operating dollars allocated each year for individual professional development activities, classified staff in-service and other staff development activities. Funds are awarded annually on a first-come, first-served basis until the fund is exhausted. Permanent (I.e., completed probationary period) classified employees may request up to $400 per fiscal year. Additional funding may be awarded towards the end of the fiscal year funds permitting.
