Iris Sanchez – Yo Quiero Grillz

Spray, acrylic, and oil-based paint on Arches Paper.

My brother told me I could rock some grillz. I think I’d definitely smile more if I had some.

A smiling mouth with purple lipstick: the top teach are shining gold, the bottom are white. Behind the detailed mouth are outlined shapes of lips, descending to the right corner in the order of green, blue, yellow, red, and orange. The mouths are surrounded by splashes of purple, green, and pink splashes of paint. Black lines crisscross in the background. Acrylic, spray paint, and oil paints on white paper.
