A. What stories (books, movies, pictures, music, friend, family) did you grow up reading or listening to? Can you identify with the characters in these stories? Why? Why not? How did these stories shape your perceptions of the world?

B. Make a list of the potential “single stories” that people may have created or could create about you. How do these stories build to form stereotypes?
C. Looking at your list, what is your story that is not a single story?
D. How do our emotions and actions shift when we realize there is more than a single story to someone?
