Identity is one of the important things in our life as it makes all of us unique. Does an identity affect on a friendships? Sometimes, people may look for special friends based on their interests, because it makes them closer and keep them interested in friendship. If one person plays a video games, he may find a friend who plays it as well. However, our identities , backgrounds, where we are from and our nationalities, believes do not affect on relationships. If just see this in other side, some people make friends despite of the fact that their believes, nationality are different , but still are friends. As a result, from my point of view, it depends on person. The parts of my identity are life in my home country, moving to The US as an international student, and how I am living and adapted here.

I am Bekzat Zhanybaev Samarbekovich, was born in 2005. I have lived in Kyrgyzstan whole my life, I was born in Osh, it is one of known regions in our country. I moved to Bishkek, which is a capital, when I was eight years old. Since my childhood I was dreaming of studying and getting education in United States of America. Fortunately, I came here in September 12th, however, I thought, all my problems are solved, and it seemed to me that everything would be easier and great after coming here. There were some difficulties that made me stronger, and smarter. But I did not realized that all real problem which will make me stronger and give me a life lesson are coming. My life changed, because I am studying at one of the American colleges that I dreamt and getting its education. I could say that I am on my new step or level now.

When I was studying at 6th grade, I started dreaming of a study in abroad, at that time, I wanted to travel and see other countries. However , I did not know where exactly I need to study and get education. It was difficult to decide and define about the education abroad. During my 7th or 8th grades, my step mother came to my life, she helped me to become better version of myself, and I started liking the American culture and its education system. And then I kept studying and started taking English courses at the end of the 9th grade. I was happy I defined with my goals. I knew all difficulties were coming and was ready to face with them. After all these quality processes I applied for two universities which are in Arizona and Texas, where I got 20 thousand dollars of scholarship , I was in the seventh heaven. However, I understood that it would be hard to live in a hot climate and choose Washington where I study now. After I was approved in visa interview, I cried and was in a state of complete happiness. All my achievement is thanks to my step mother. I started being more confident and successful in my study. Before coming to The United States of America , I thought all my problems are done and will be in easy live, but in the contrary, did not realize all of them start with adaptation.

In conclusion, our identities influence who we are and the people we choose to friend, but common interests can also foster friendships. It differs from person to person, although some distinctions, such as backgrounds or views, might not have an impact on relationships. With my stepmother’s help, I came from Kyrgyzstan to the US, where I learned resilience and adaptation skills. I’ve succeeded in my studies despite challenges. In general, the people and things we come into contact with shape who we are, and accepting change can result in both personal development and life satisfaction. It’s critical to understand that obstacles frequently present worthwhile life lessons and chances for development.
