Teaching Difference in A Nursing Class (2022)

I use a lot of different interactive scales and sources that I’m sure are pretty common, The Harvard Implicit Bias test, for instance, and the Healthy People 2030 page on Social Determinants of Health mentioned above.
We talk a lot about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) as a determinant of health CDC page on ACES. I recently found a really cool map for our state (WA State Environmental Health Disparity Map) and I’m working on an assignment using it for next quarter. I’m working on an in-class assignment on obesity, so I’ll definitely use the CDC page on that: CDC Obesity. I kind of want to tie it in with the food desert map and the Medicare disparities map, but it can only last an hour or so.
