My First American House

Have you ever bought a house that you thought was a bad deal but turned out to be a good one? It happened to me when I bought my first house in the US. In 2019, I bought my first house here, and I think it was a good deal. I was living in a rented house for four years and the rent was very high. My husband and I decided to buy a new house, so we looked for a spacious house in a good location, closer to our daughter’s school, but the houses were very expensive.

First, I went through the online listings on Redfin and Zillow to get information about houses available for sale. I found a few that were newly built and in a good location. Next, my husband and I visited the construction sites to see their model houses. We found a suitable one that we both liked, but the cost was a bit higher than our budget. My husband had told me that the value of this house was going to increase in the future, but I didn’t believe him. But since it was a very beautiful house in a good location, I decided to buy it anyway. Then we bought the house, thinking it was not a very good deal. Now, just after three months, the price of similar houses has increased by five to seven percent. I am so happy that I bought the house at the right time. Now, I don’t regret buying the expensive one.
