Consent is to grant permission, approval, or to comply; agree, as to an express wish or a proposed action.
Types of consent :
- implied consent,
- express consent,
- informed consent and
- unanimous consent.
In the United States, the age at which a person can consent is from 16 – 18 years old.
Example: When I get a clinical procedure done in a clinic. I have to sign a consent before the procedure is done, and it states that I permit to follow through procedure even after knowing the procedural risks and complications.

Every time, I signup for a program or in social media applications, I grant my consent and agree to share my personal information for their research and quality purpose of the program.
