Prejudice

Definition
I define prejudice as a generalization of a group of people, or minorities, based on a preconceived notion.  Prejudice is broad and not  based  solely on facts.

Example
I often shop at an Asian market in Kent called 99 Ranch Market. It has always been busy until recently. The majority of shoppers here are Asian and it has been subject to prejudice and false reporting lately. This is do to the Corona virus outbreak in China. There have been rumors that store employees and managers are infected from the virus. These reports are untrue and only based on a prejudice that people of Asian decent are more likely to carry the virus. Even though there have been no cases in this market, business has dropped by 70%. This has been devastating to the tenants in the market.
